The Governor of Nasarawa State, Engineer Abdullahi Sule, has on Wednesday, dismissed polls for the 2023 presidential election that put Peter Obi, the presidential candidate of Labour Party, LP, ahead of his counterparts, the presidential candidate of the ruling All Progressive Congress, APC, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, and that of the main opposition Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar.

The Nasarawa State governor in a live interview on Channels Television’s Politics Today, argued that the criticisms of the Labour Party flag bearer by the incumbent Governor of Anambra State, Charles Soludo, a state where the presidential candidate ruled for 8 years has devalued the ex-governor to less than 10 kobo.

According to him, the right person to tell Nigerians what happened during the presidential candidate’s tenure as governor is the current governor of Anambra State.

Stating that he is in a better position to tell the public what the former Governor of Nasarawa State, Tanko Al-Makura, did for the state compared to what people see on paper, the governor said if people go to Anambra State and see what Soludo said about the ex-governor, they will not back him.

He said, “Now, do you have the same with Asiwaju (Tinubu) and the governors who came after him in Lagos? Is Lagos better looking today than Anambra? Is the economy of Lagos better today than Anambra? It’s like day and night. There is no comparison.
