TikTok influencers sent to jail for portraying Ganduje as ‘corrupt’ in skit
The Kano State Magistrate Court has remanded Mubarak Muhammed and Nazifi Muhammed, two Tiktok skit makers, who created a controversial video about the state governor, Abdullahi Ganduje..
Peoples Gazette reports that they were charged for defaming the character of the governor with a skit portraying him as corrupt.
Mubarak Muhammed known as Uniquepikin and his colleague, portrayed Ganduje as a corrupt official who has sold most of the state’s lands.
Uniquepikin and Nazif pleaded guilty after the charges of conspiracy and defamation of the state helmsman were read.
The presiding Magistrate, Aminu Gambari subsequently ordered the remand of the two Tikokers in prison custody.
He adjourned the case to November 7, 2022.
