Sophia Momodu issues a public apology over backlash trailing Imade’s ‘Disrespectful’ tribute to Ifeanyi on Davido’s 30th birthday
Davido’s babymama, Sophia Momodu has issued a public apology to fans who criticized her over daughter, Imade’s birthday post to the singer.
Edujandon.com earlier reported that Imade penned a short message to mark her dad, Davodo’s 30th birthday on, November 21st, 2022..
The singer’s first daughter also paid a tribute to her late brother, Ifeanyi Adeleke.
The 7-year-old who took a break from social media after the tragic demise of Ifeanyi, shared a photo of Davido holding on to his daughters while carrying Ifeanyi; an act of tribute to the departed young one.
Fans who came across her post, bashed Sophia Momodu on social media, stating it was sheer peccancy on Sophia’s part to post a picture of Ifeanyi, who she never acknowledged when he was alive.
They also called her out for being insensitive.
Reacting, Sophia Momodu took to her daughter’s Instagram page, to apologise to fans angered by the birthday post and stated reasons for paying tributes to Ifeanyi.
She wrote;
“I REALIZE THAT THE EARLIER POST MAY COME ACROSS AS INSENSITIVE AND I SINCERELY APOLOGIZE AS THAT WAS NOT THE INTENTION.
IMADE DEEPLY LOVES HER FATHER AND ALL HER SIBLINGS, AND AS A MOTHER, I’M DOING MY BEST TO GUIDE HER THROUGH THE DIFFICULT EMOTION OF GRIEF FROM THE LOSS OF HER BROTHER WHILST TRYING TO CELEBRATE HER FATHER’S BIRTHDAY.
I ASK FOR YOUR CONSIDERATION AND HOPE THAT YOU ALL CAN BE UNDERSTANDING DURING THESE TIMES.
