The presidential candidate of Labour Party, Peter Obi has taken to his verified Twitter handle to react after the presidential candidate of APC tackled him during a meeting with Niger Delta Stakeholders.

Recently, The All Progressives Congress presidential candidate, Bola Asiwaju Tinubu, has tackled the Labour Party candidate, Peter Obi, over the statistics he has been giving in his campaign speeches. He said that he cannot mention Peter Obi’s name, because it is a disgrace for him to do so. He said this during the APC Presidential Candidate Meeting with Niger Delta Stakeholders which took place in Gbaramatu, Delta State.

According to Tinubu, He lies with arithmetic that no Indian can ever solve. To mention his name is a disgrace even to me. I won’t mention his name. Wrong arithmetic, wrong statistics, warehouse economics. That’s not what Nigeria needs.

However, Peter Obi, while reacting said, “We are not unmindful of the odds stacked high against those who wish to take on the system; indeed, the attacks coming at us from all angles prove that we are up against well-entrenched interests.

“Nevertheless, we are encouraged especially by the passion and commitment which our people are bringing to our ranks, and by their determination to take back their country and build for themselves the kind of nation they desire.”
