JUST IN: DSS Sent Warning Message Over Nnamdi Kanu

A pro-Biafra group, the Movement for the Actualization of the Sovereign State of Biafra (MASSOB) has warned the Department of State Services (DSS) against disobeying the order of the Court of Appeal, Abuja, to discharge Nnamdi Kanu, leader of the outlawed Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB).

A three-man panel of the Court of Appeal on Thursday said the Federal High Court lacks the jurisdiction to try Kanu in view of his arrest in Kenya and extradition to Nigeria in June 2021. The separatist leader was subsequently discharged.

Reacting to the verdict, MASSOB stated that Kanu’s discharge has opened a new dimension to the Biafra agitation which must continue to be anchored on non-violence, mutual understanding and unity of purpose.

The group’s leader, Uchenna Madu, told the press: “Though the people of Biafra are celebrating all over the world, our most desired Joy is independence of Biafra sovereignty from Nigeria state.

“MASSOB warns the DSS to quickly obey the order of the appellate court.”
