Inter Milan CEO, Giuseppe Marotta has revealed the club’s decision on Chelsea striker, Romelu Lukaku after the sacking of Thomas Tuchel by the Blues hierarchy..

Marotta said it is ‘difficult to predict’ the Belgian’s future following Tuchel’s sack.

He said that he wants to get the best contribution out of the Belgium international and then at the end of the season, they will sit down and discuss the player’s future with Chelsea.

Tuchel was sacked as Chelsea’s manager on Wednesday morning following the club’s 1-0 defeat to Dinamo Zagreb in their Champions League group stage opener.

Lukaku was among the high-profile players that left Stamford Bridge last summer, returning to Inter Milan on loan.

Following Tuchel’s dismissal, there is the debate that the former Everton and Manchester United striker could return to Stamford Bridge with his current loan deal with Inter not including any obligation to make the deal permanent.

“It’s fresh news. I don’t know what the effects will be,” Marotta told Sky Italia, reacting to Tuchel’s sacking.

“We absolutely want to get the best contribution out of Lukaku, and then at the end of the season, we’ll sit down and discuss him with Chelsea.

“I don’t know if a change of coaches means that his return is to be automatic, it’s difficult to predict today.”
