Barcelona midfielder, Busquets reveals World’s best player
Barcelona midfielder, Sergio Busquets, has branded Paris Saint-Germain’s Lionel Messi as the best player in the world..
Busquets said this while opening up about his friendship with Messi.
The Spanish star also hoped Messi would win another trophy with the Argentina national team as the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar draws closer.
Speaking to SPORT (via BarcaUniversal), Busquets said: “Messi needed to win a tournament with his national team, he did it with the Copa América. I hope he does as well as possible while he’s still in the national team.
“He’s my friend, the best player in the world.”
Busquets and Messi were former teammates during the Argentine’s time at Camp Nou.
Both players won eight La Liga titles and three Champions League trophies, among other trophies.
