Reports emerged today that Cristiano Ronaldo has told Manchester United he would love to leave the club this summer.

Man United resigned Ronaldo from Juventus last summer but his return did not end as planned, given how The Red Devils got embarrassed on several occasions in the Premier League.

With United gearing ahead for next season, reports emerged today that they could be without the 37-year-old, who has told Manchester United to let him leave if they receive the right offer for his services.

According to Ducan Castles via The Times, Ronaldo has informed Manchester United of his desire to quit the club this summer in a bid to continue his playing career in a club with Champions League football.

The same report claims that the five-time Ballon d’Or winner believes he still has about three years left in the final stage of his career to perform at the highest level possible.

According to The Athletic, Cristiano Ronaldo is said to love United but wants to play in the Champions League and fight for top honours in the final stage of his career which he feels isn’t likely at Man Utd. The outlet named Napoli as his likely destination next season.

But how have Manchester United reacted to Cristiano Ronaldo’s summer exit speculation?

According to Jonathan Shrager, Manchester United want Ronaldo to stay at Old Trafford and he reported that the Red Devils would make a decision to either let him go or stay in coming days/weeks.
