EFCC Declared Nzeribe Wanted As Tinubu, Amaechi, Umahi, 9 Others Screened By APC (Details below)

Former member of the House of Representatives, Chief Marcellinus Chuma Nzeribe, has been declared wanted by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC.

Nzeribe was convicted for fraud in absentia by Justice Yusuf Y. Halilu of the Federal Capital Territory High Court, Maitama, Abuja on May 23, 2022.

The Commission’s Head of Media and Publicity, Wilson Uwujaren, in a statement on Monday, May 30, said Nzeribe, 62, jumped the court bail granted to him by the FCT High Court, Maitama, and has since not been seen.

“His last known address is at Block M7, Flat 8, NNPC Housing Estate, Area 11, Garki, Abuja,” the spokesperson stated.

Tinubu, Amaechi, Umahi, 9 Others Screened By APC

The All Progressives Congress (APC), yesterday, commenced screening of presidential aspirants that purchased its N100 million expression of interest and nomination forms ahead of its rescheduled primary next week.

The Presidential Screening Committee, chaired by former national chairman, Chief John Odigie-Oyegun is expected to act within the directive of President Muhammadu Buhari to prune the number of presidential aspirants to 10.

Twenty-eight aspirants obtained the nomination and expression of interest forms of the ruling party. However, five of the aspirants pulled out.

Those screened, yesterday, included GovernorUmahi; Nwajiuba, Pastor Bakare, the only female aspirant, Ohanenye, Senator Boroffice, Onu, Amaechi and Tinubu.

Police arrest six suspected cultists in Delta, recover gun, others

The Delta State Police Command’s Raiders Operatives have arrested six suspected cultists along Asaba-Benin Expressway in Okpanam.

The suspects include Sunday Okafor Destiny, Stephen Osamota Pius and four others.

The Police also recovered one locally made cut-to-size double barrel gun, six expended cartridges and one 9mm live ammunition from the suspects.

The Delta State Police Command, led by CP Ari Muhammed Ali confirmed the report in a statement signed by the Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Bright Edafe.

The police image maker said the police, while on investigation activities along the road, intercepted some hoodlums suspected to be cultists.

Party chieftain writes petition, wants Tinubu disqualified

A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress, APC, has petitioned the Odigie-Oyegun committee seeking the disqualification of Bola Tinubu.

In the petition dated May 17, the petitioner with membership registration no KN/TRN/38/08417, urged the committee to painstakingly scrutinise all credentials submitted by Tinubu to avert a recurrence of what happened in Bayelsa when a certificate forgery issue against the deputy governorship candidate made APC to lose the state to PDP.

The petitioner attached various documents against Tinubu to back up his claims.

A member of the House of Rep­resentatives from Iseyin/Itesi­waju/Kajola/Iwajowa Federal Constituency, Shina Peller, has revealed that truly there was an attempt to assassinate him on his way from Ibadan to Oke- Ogun on Sunday.

This was made known to the public in a statement the feder­al legislator personally signed, shared on his social media plat­forms, where he also insisted that there were no All Progres­sives Congress (APC) senatorial primaries in Oyo-North.
