Community Members Force A Thief To Eat The Full Bunch Of Unripe Plantains He Stole (Video below)
A thief was apprehended by residents of the community after attempting to flee with a plantain that did not belong to him.
A video of the dramatic incident has gone viral, eliciting a wide range of reactions.
The suspect is seen sitting on the ground as residents surround him with canes ready to flog him if he does not eat the unripe plantain he stole.
Some of the residents are seen peeling plantains for the thief, who appears to be overfed and unable to eat.
Such mild extrajudicial punishments appear to be on the rise in recent years.
