A video currently making the rounds on social media indicate that the suspected killers of Anambra Lawmaker, Ikechukwu Okoye, have been nabbed by security operatives in the Southeast.

Recall that Honorable Okoye was abducted and subsequently killed by an unknown group of gunmen currently holding sway in Anambra state. Two weekends ago, the lawmaker’s severed head was found in cardboard box dumped at a popular motor park in the state.

Reacting to the gruesome murder, Governor Charles Chukwuma Soludo had vowed to leave no stone unturned in bringing the killers to justice.

Judging by the video shared by one Ikechukwu Onyia on Facebook, Governor Soludo has kept his vow.

In the footage, a suspected member of the unknown gunmen could be heard confessing that he belonged to the armed gang that abducted and murdered the lawmaker. A third politician they have killed so far.

According to the suspect, who spoke in the Igbo language, his gang stripped their victims naked before killing them.

He, however, disclosed that he was yet to be made a commander of the group as at the time the Ikechukwu Okoye was beheaded.

We hope that this bust will be the first among many arrests that will hopefully bring an end to the mayhem unleashed by these criminals in the Southeastern state of Anambra.
