Chris Oyakhilome Drops Bible Verse That Committing Adultery With Your Body Is Not The Real Sin (Details below)
The Nigerian televangelist and General Overseer of Believers’ Love World Incorporated popularly known as Christ Embassy, Pastor Chris Oyakhilome spoke today on “Family Day Celebration Service” via a live broadcast on his church Facebook handle. The pastor while speaking on the said topic, dropped a Bible verse that committing adultery with your body is not the real sin.
Pastor Chris Oyakhilome: “The Bible said that if your hand causes you to sin, cut it off. This was one of the ways Jesus explained what sin is in the Bible. Now the question you should ask is, can your hand or your eyes cause you to sin? No! Jesus said, it is not that which enters into you that makes you commit sins but that which comes out of you. Remember when Jesus said that, the disciples had issues in understanding it.
“When the disciples met Him for more explanations, He said to them that it is what comes out of your heart that’s sin. Now question, where is the real sin? The Book of Mathew 15:19 (New Living Translation) says, ‘From the heart comes evil thoughts, murder, adultery, all sexual immorality, theft, lying, and slander’.
“This therefore means that the sin of adultery with your body is not the real sin, it is just a manifestation of what your heart desired. The real sin is in the heart. Your eyes can’t cause you to sin because it does not have a mind of its own. Out of the heart, evil thoughts are born”.
