President Muhammadu Buhari has reportedly directed the National Leader of the All Progressive Congress (APC), Bola Tinubu, Vice president Yemi Osinbajo and other presidential aspirants of the party, to step down for a Southeast candidate, Harvard trained attorney, Emeka Ugwuonye reveals.

The founder of Due Process Advocates in an opinion piece titled, “A CRITICAL STAGE HAS BEEN REACHED IN THE CHOICE OF THE NEXT PRESIDENT OF NIGERIA”, said President Buhari made the great decision in the interest of Nigeria.

Emeka further explained that this must have been on the mind of the President when he bluntly turned down the request of Igbo leaders for the release of Nnamdi Kanu.

According to the human rights lawyer, the President could have done that earlier but he wanted the party to use the sell of expression of interest and nomination forms as a means of raising funds for the party.

Part of the report reads, “Each time I make a prediction, I take a huge risk. I take the risk of failing and consequentially losing my record as an intelligent and unbeatable predictor of our time. And secondly, I run the risk of annoying those who would have preferred to keep things secret till the last minute.

For denying them the element of surprise, they cannot be happy with me for my predictions. But I am about to make a prediction again.
