Erik ten Hag warns Man United against bothering him

Incoming Manchester United boss, Erik ten Hag, has issued a stern warning to the club’s hierarchy not to bother him..

The Dutchman said he is still the manager of Ajax and would not want to be bothered in the build-up to the Dutch side’s games as he looks to deliver a third Eredivisie title before finally moving to Old Trafford.

The 52-year-old was confirmed as Manchester United’s next permanent manager earlier in the month and he signed a three-year deal with the Premier League club.

Ten Hag requested during negotiations that there would be some distance between him and the club before he finally moves to England in the summer.

ESPN reports that as a result, Manchester United chiefs are under strict instructions not to bother their new manager.

They will not bother the Dutchman in the 48 hours before any Ajax games as he does not want to risk getting distracted and blowing his current club’s title challenge.

With four games remaining, Ajax are top of the Dutch top flight but PSV remain in the title hunt, trailing Ten Hag’s side by just four points.
