Manchester United have told six players to leave the club immediately when their contracts expire this summer.

The Daily Mirror named the six players to include top midfielder, Paul Pogba, Jesse Lingard, Edinson Cavani, Juan Mata, Tahith Chong and Lee Grant.

The contracts of these players expire at the end of this season and the Red Devils hierarchy has informed them that they can leave the club.

On the other hand, the club have also told six unhappy squad members to wait before their future can be decided.

United will be announcing Ajax manager, Erik ten Hag as their new permanent boss to replace Ralf Rangnick this summer and the Dutchman will make a huge overhaul at the club.

According to the report, the likes of Anthony Martial, Donny van de Beek, Dean Henderson, Phil Jones, Axel Tuanzebe and Eric Bailly are keen on leaving the club this summer.

However, those six, who are said to be unhappy at the club, are told to wait until the closing stages of the transfer window, as United are unwilling to sell them until new signings have been made, adding that they will get the chance to impress Ten Hag before a decision is made over their futures.

Earlier this week, reports in the Netherlands claimed that Ten Hag is keen to bring Ajax’s highly rated 20-year-old centre-back, Jurrien Timber with him to Old Trafford.
