Jigawa: Two corps members slump at NYSC parade
Two members of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) on Tuesday slumped during swearing-in parade for the 2022 Batch ‘A’ Stream 1 corps members in Dutse, Jigawa State..
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the corps members were immediately rushed to the camp clinic for treatment
The state NYSC Coordinator, Hajiya Aishatu Adamu, said the victims might have been affected by extreme stress.
Adamu said the affected corps members were treated by the medical team and has recovered.
Earlier, the Director-General of the NYSC, Maj.-Gen. Shuiabu Ibrahim, appealed to corps members to shun cultism, drug abuse and other social vices.
Ibrahim, who was represented by the scheme Coordinator, Hajiya Aishatu Adamu, also advised corps members to promote national unity, peace and harmony in their places of primary assignments.
