We’ve made this decision – Arteta speaks on Arsenal selling Aubameyang in January
Arsenal manager, Mikel Arteta, has insisted that the club has made a decision to consider selling Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang in the January transfer window..
Arteta spoke on Tuesday during his pre-match press conference ahead of Arsenal’s Premier League clash with West Ham United on Wednesday.
Recall that Aubameyang was stripped of the captaincy armband on Tuesday following his disciplinary breach.
Asked whether he would consider selling Aubameyang in January, Arteta was quoted by Arsenal’s official website as saying: “I can say right now that we have made this decision.
“Unfortunately, it’s a really tough one and obviously, if I had to choose, I would not like to be sitting here talking about it, but we had to do it.
“But for now, he is not involved in the squad.”
Aubameyang joined Arsenal from Borussia Dortmund in January 2018.
The Gabonese striker has found the net on 92 occasions in 163 games for the Gunners so far.
