Roy Keane blasts West Ham’s Noble for missing penalty against Man Utd

Manchester United legend, Roy Keane, have slammed the decision for West Ham captain, Mark Noble, to take and miss a 95th-minute penalty against the Red Devils in the Premier League on Sunday..

Noble was subbed on by West Ham manager, David Moyes, late on and immediately took the ball for the late spot-kick during the encounter, which was saved by David De Gea.

But Keane believes it was a strange decision for Noble to take the penalty against Man United, adding that the player did not warm up properly before he was introduced into the game.

Cristiano Ronaldo’s first-half strike and a late goal from Jesse Lingard gave Man United all three points against West Ham at the London Stadium.

“Strange decision, he can’t have warmed up properly because it was so late in the game. I didn’t fancy him, I thought De Gea would save it,” Keane told Sky Sports.

“If he scores again, it’s all justified, Gareth Southgate was criticised but to bring someone on who hasn’t had many minutes but sometimes a manager you try to be too clever, you can say he’s taken penalties before and he’s experienced, I don’t care.
