Speed Darlington Laments After ‘Lagos beggar’ Rejected His N100
He stated that he was highly offended that someone who did not do any job for him was feeling entitled to the money he worked for.
Popular US-based rapper, Speed Darlington shared his experience with a beggar who asked him for money while stuck in Lagos traffic..
According to him, he was going to Lekki from Lagos Island when he bumped into a beggar who kept staring at him. The boy claimed to be a fan and asked for a photo initially but after Speedy declined, the man then begged for money.
The singer was pissed off at first, but reached out to his pocket and brought out an N100 Naira note. He stretched out his hand to give the beggar the money, but to his greatest surprise, the man complained about the small amount of money that he was about to get from the singer, and asked what ‘wetin be this.’
He stated that he was highly offended that someone who did not do any job for him was feeling entitled to the money he worked for.
