Hushpuppi’s stubbornness, highhandedness landed him in trouble – Mompha (Video)
A former friend of Ramon Abbas, popularly known as Hushpuppi, has stated that the ordeal the suspected fraudster is currently going through is self-inflicted..
An Instagram celebrity, Ismail Mustapha, alias Mompha, who used to be a close friend of Hushpuppi, disclosed in a video interview that stubbornness and highhandedness on the part of Hushpuppi was the reason for his predicament.
Hushpuppi, who was also an Instagram celebrity known for flaunting exotic lifestyles on the popular photo and video sharing app, was arrested in Dubai during a sting operation by officers of the Federal Investigation Bureau, FBI.
The arrest of Hushpuppi was due to his involvement and links to internet fraud perpetrated across various countries.
In an Instagram live interview Mompha had with Daddy Freeze, he said Hushpuppi does not listen to advice, hence his arrest by FBI agents and his ongoing prosecution in America.
He maintained that he would not have been linked with the Hushpuppi case if he had not invited him to Dubai from Malaysia.
According to Mompha, in the over 19 minutes interview, when he had issues with the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, he had to maintain a low-key lifestyle.
During the interview, he revealed that while with the EFCC, he was interrogated by two FBI agents who could not pin him with anything.
He however expressed displeasure at the manner at which some Nigerians plot and rejoice over the fall of successful people
