There is heavy tension in Lagos state after three Okada riders were shot dead during clash with Nigerian security operatives.

Currently, Ogba is the trending topic being discussed on popular social media platform, Twitter after it was made known that three motorcyclists were allegedly killed by police men.

According to report, the civil unrest started after police officers killed two Okada riders on Thursday evening around Mokulu street.

On Friday, Lindaikeji reported that one Okada man died as caused by gun bullet injuries.

A source disclosed that the recent clash between commercial motorcyclists and security operatives was elicited by efforts of the state government to forcefully ban Okada in the area.


Security operatives were resisted to perfect the plan and it resulted to clash, with three okada riders reportedly shot dead.

This made Okada riders to embark on protest in the area. They were subsequently dispatched by security agencies.

We were told that the Lagos state police command deployed mobile policemen to the area, while detaching regular police officers.

Edujandon.com reported that all the roads leading to WAEC, Ogba Market and Excellence Roundabout have been blocked with police vans.


The video of the clash was shared on Twitter.

Nigerians on twitter visited their timeline to share words, speaking of the need to stay indoor, especially people residing in the area.
