‘Don’t Relocate To Canada Because A Better Nigeria Is Possible’ — Gov. Fayemi Tells Nigerian Youth
The Governor of Ekiti State Governor, Kayode Fayemi has advised Nigerian youths against relocating abroad, especially Canada to have a better living.
According to him, there is hope for a better Nigeria adding that this is possible so they must do well to rescind their decisions..
He made this known while speaking at an annual program organized by Covenant Christian Centre dubbed, THE PLATFORM.
In his submission, he said;
“Don’t succumb to despondency, there is a lot to hail in this country. There is a lot to frustrate you, a lot to want to make you give up and pick that visa and go to Canada.
I know it (Canada) is a popular destination but you know what? There is also a glass ceiling in Canada. When you get to the top of it, you will now discover there is a glass ceiling there. This is the place where there is no glass ceiling, let us work towards making it a better place.”
This comes just days a US-based Nigerian man has sparked controversy after he claimed that most Nigerians will not like their stay in Canada when they travel there.
This Nigerian man is identified as Femi and he made this known in a recent post he made on the popular micro-blogging platform, Twitter.
According to him, the energy most Nigerians put in trying to leave the country for Canada will not be the same when they eventually come to realize that Canada is a place that has the fun they imagined.
Simply put, the man who lives in Maryland, USA stated that Canada is more boring than the United Kingdom.
His tweet reads;
”Most Nigerians won’t like Canada when they go there. Its actually more boring than the UK”
