Popular Nollywood Actor Arrested for Defiling a 14 – Year Old Girl (Details below)
The Lagos State Police Command has arrested Nollywood actor, Olarenwaju James popularly known as Baba Ijesha for allegedly defiling a minor.
Baba Ijesha, 48, was arrested after one Princess Adekola Adekanya reported the case at the Sabo Police Station on Monday.
A statement by the Lagos State Police PPRO, Muyiwa Adejobi said the case was transferred to the Gender Unit of the State CID, Panti, Yaba Lagos for proper investigation.
He said based on preliminary findings, the suspect started sexually assaulting the victim since she was 7-year old.
Adejobi said the suspect confessed to the crime and was also captured by a CCTV camera in the house of the complainant.
He added that the State Commissioner of Police, Hakeem Odumosu, had ordered for proper investigation as he promised to do justice in the matter.
