The IGP under the direction of the president has gone down to the South East to address the situation and also start an investigation.

As people were still processing this tragic and unsettling event. Another police station has been set ablaze by unknown gunmen as reported.

The attack happened few hours after the vice- president Yemi Osinbajo, and the sacked Inspector- General of police Muhammed Adumu, and the other Government officials visited the state to inspect the level of Damages that was cause by the criminals.

It was earlier reported on Monday that police headquarters in Owerri was attacked and set ablaze by gunmen. The series of attacks by the unknown gunmen was extended to the Correctional facility in Owerri and an Army post operated in the Imo state Capital.

On Tuesday however, it was learnt that the Ehime Mbano Local Government Area (LGA) Divisional Police headquarters in Imo State, was razed by gunmen.

Imo State on fire

It was also gathered that on their arrival, the gunmen freed all the suspects in detention before setting the Police divisional headquarters ablaze.

Nnamdi Kanu in response to this have sent a message to the Governor of Imo State, Governor Hope Uzodinma via his Twitter page. The tweet is short and precise, it is a Bible verse in Aramaic which was translated by Daniel for the King Belshazzar about the impending destruction of his kingdom. His tweet says: ” Hope Uzodinma, mene mene tekel upharsin. ”

‘Mene mene tekel upharsin’ was the writing on the wall, interpreted by Daniel to mean that God had weighed Belshazzar and his kingdom, had found them wanting, and would destroy them: Dan. 5: 25.

What could Nnamdi Kanu mean by this words?
