Chief Sunday Adeyemo, also identified as Sunday Igboho, a self- styled Yoruba freedom fighter and rights activist, raided some forests in Ekiti on Saturday in search of Fulani herdsmen.

Sunday Igboho visit to Ekiti was part of his ongoing fight against killer herders in the South- West.

Sunday Igboho, accompanied by some of his warriors and followers as they raided the forest.

Sunday Igboho raid is part of his resolve to combat the growing number of kidnappings and murders in the South- west.

The Fulani herdsmen, according to Sunday Igboho, are to blame for the ongoing growing insecurity in Nigeria.


Sunday Igboho has recently evicted some Fulani herders in the Oyo State Igangan Ibarapa region. He had blamed Fulani herdsmen for the escalating insecurity in the South- west.

Remember that after the eviction of Fulani herdsmen in Igangan, Yoruba activists vowed to travel to other states in the South- west.

Recall that Sunday Igboho visited Ekiti last week to meet with some traditional rulers.

When Sunday Igboho and his followers arrived in the state, they went straight to the palace of the town king, the Oni of Ire- Ekiti, Oba Victor Bobade.


During his visit, he announced that Ekiti State would be his next goal.

Sunday Igboho had recently made headlines across the country after evicting the Seriki Fulani and his men from Igangan in Oyo State, Ibarapa local government.

He has also been to Yewa North Local Government in Ogun State to evict all Fulani herders from the city.
