Man Stabs Wife Of 20 Years To Death Just Because He Suspects She Is Cheating
A Nigerian man has been arrested for stabbing his wife of 20 years to death.
The man who is identified as Sobola Olatunji was arrested by men of the Ogun State Police Command..
He is a staff of Remo North Local government and he saw the need to kill his wife because he suspects that his wife hasn’t been faithful.
The incident was confirmed by the spokesperson of the state police command, DSP Abimbola Oyeyemi.
The police command spokesperson stated that the suspect was arrested following a complaint by the father of the deceased, Alhaji Ambali Yinusa.
The father-in-law indicated that Sobola Olatunji had a misunderstanding with his wife, Momudat Sobola and this led to a physical fight between them adding that Olatunji took a knife and stabbed his wife at the back.
After making the report, some policemen were asked to go to the scene where the suspect was promptly arrested with the victim quickly rushed to the hospital for treatment, however, the victim didn’t survive.
When he was interrogated, the suspect stated that he and the deceased have been married for 20 years making allegations that he suspected his wife to have been having extra marital relationship because of some text messages he saw on her phone.
He then proceeded to ask his wife about his suspicions and this resulted in the fight that eventually led to the death of his wife.
