Paul Pogba was left out of Manchester United’s 6-2 demolition of Leeds United in favour of Scott McTominay, Fred and Bruno Fernandes.

The Frenchman failed to make it off the bench against Leeds, but Ole Gunnar Solskjaer will be delighted with how he responded to being dropped.

According to The Athletic, Pogba involved himself in a sprinting exercise on the pitch afterwards, shouting: “Who is the champion?” after winning one tight race.

Donny van de Beek was also involved in the exercise after playing a limited role in the match, as were Mason Greenwood, Juan Mata and Edinson Cavani.

The Red Devils’ win left them in third place in the Premier League table within touching distance of table-toppers Liverpool.

United are five points behind with a game in hand, and are just a point off second-placed Leicester City.

However, Solskjaer insisted he isn’t ready to start thinking about a title challenge just yet.
