Video: Man Electrocuted To Death While Hanging His Party’s Flag On Electric Pole
In the build-up to the general election, what many people will do and go home scot-free, a young man perceived to be his thirties has done the same thing but has unfortunately lost his life as a result of doing that.
As part of campaign strategies, it is common practice for you to see party zealots and loyalists busily trying to hang flags and posters of political parties on any object that is clearly situated at vantage points in town.
This was exactly what was intended by a party fanatic who had climbed a light pole at the Kweku Baako Street in Labone in Accra all in a bid to hang his political party’s flag.
Unfortunately, luck eluded him and in the process to hang the flag, the unidentified man (now deceased) got electrocuted hence dying instantly.
Per the commentary in the video, the flag was that of the New Patriotic Party, (NPP) however one could also see the National Democratic Congress’ flag also hanging on the electric pole.
Therefore, it is not certain the particular party’s flag he was trying to fix there. He was electrocuted in the process of fixing and died instantly.
An eye witness who saw the man trying fix the flag remarked that she could clearly say the man had no knowledge about what he was doing.
A video of the dead man hanging on the light pole has sent shockwaves to Ghanaians with many questioning why he would want to embark on such a dangerous activity all in the name of campaigning for a party.
