Two Soldiers Assault And Forces Woman Out OF Her Husband’s Home (Details below)
Two military men have arrested by the Bonwire Police Command for assaulting a 28-year-old woman after she refused to vacate from her late husband’s home.
Reports suggest that the two military men stormed Mrs. Yaa Boatemaa Agyapong house around 6:00am on Tuesday and ordered her to vacate the premises. Eyewitnesses speculate that the two soldiers must have been sent by relatives of her late husband to throw her out of the house.
Narrating her ordeal, the mother of the victim Madam Abena Serwaa told reporters that ‘the house was built by my daughter’s husband and he gave it to my daughter but the family of my daughter’s late husband is demanding the ownership of the property.’
‘My daughter’s sister-in-law Nana Ama came to the house with two military men to eject my daughter from her husband’s house. They started attacking my daughter because she refused to pack out from her husband’s house. The soldier vandalized properties in the house and we reported the case to Bonwire Police Command.
‘They asked my daughter to produce documents to prove that her late husband gave the house to her and my daughter told them to take her to court if they need the documents.’
Sources close to the family have informed reporters that the victim have since been treated and discharged by Ejisu Government Hospital. The two military personnel have also been picked up by the police in Ejisu, as well as the Sister-in-law of the victim.
