“I Lost Everything, Thanks To EFCC”- Man Narrates How He Was Wrongly Labelled A “Yahoo Boy” & Arrested
A young Nigerian man took to Twitter to narrate how was allegedly labelled a fraudster and wrongly arrested by EFCC operatives in Ogun state.
The man identified as @Rotimi_4G recalled being arrested by operatives of the anti-graft agency who broke into his apartment by 4 am.
Following a search on his devices which lasted for hours, the EFCC operatives refused to release him even after nothing incriminating was found in his laptop and phone.
The distraught Nigerian man added that he was subjected to bail and given conditions which include “one lawyer, two surety with houses property in Ibadan and must be a taxpayer for at least 2 years”.
The Twitter user revealed that upon getting to his apartment after fulfilling his bail conditions, he found out that his apartment had been broken into by robbers who carted away his home appliances and even foodstuff. He also revealed that he is back to square one because of the actions of operatives of the anti-graft agency.
