Barcelona 4-0 Osasuna: Messi scores stunning goal to salute Diego Maradona

Emotions were high at the Nou Camp as Lionel Messi paid tribute to Diego Maradona as Barcelona bounced back from their defeat to Atletico Madrid last week to sweep Osasuna aside..

Martin Braithwaite opened the scoring for Ronald Koeman’s side on the half hour mark as Barcelona made their pressure count having seen a Philippe Coutinho effort cleared off the line by Unai Garcia.

Antoine Griezmann doubled the hosts’ lead just before half time with a devastating first time volley from outside the penalty area to put Barcelona in a commanding position against their lowly LaLiga rivals. Second half strikes from Coutinho and Messi put the result beyond doubt.

And after Messi scored the fourth, he took off his Barcelona top to reveal a Newell’s Old Boy jersey, with the number 10 on the back in a tribute to the late superstar.
