Manchester United striker, Odion Ighalo, has finally paid his tribute to the club’s new signings, Edinson Cavani, Alex Telles and Facundo Pellistri.

Ighalo welcomed Cavani, Telles and Pellistri to Man United and backed the trio to challenge any player playing in their positions in the Red Devils squad in order for them to get first-team football under manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.

The Nigerian star stated this on Thursday ahead of Man United’s Premier League clash with Newcastle United on Saturday.

Recall that Cavani, Telles and Pellistri joined Man United on transfer deadline day earlier this month from Paris Saint-Germain, Porto and Club Atletico Penarol, respectively.

Speaking on the club’s new signings, Ighalo told Man United’s official website, “It’s good for the team, for everybody to be on their toes to work hard.

“For a big team, like Manchester United, you have to have competition for players to do well and I welcome the new guys coming in.

“They will bring more challenges to everyone in the team, to work hard for their positions to play in the team.”
