Manchester United executive leaving
The experienced Spanish midfielder Juan Mata is coveted by a Gulf club, according to rumors emanating from across the Channel.
Oldest member of Manchester United’s squad with David De Gea, Spaniard Juan Mata may not finish the season with the Red Devils. To believe what Express Sport reveals this Saturday, the 2010 world champion has serious touches with a Saudi club whose name has not been disclosed. A transfer to this region of the world for a golden pre-retirement and after nine years spent in England is not to be ruled out for the former Valencian.
Solskjaer no longer relies on Mata
The 32-year-old Mata now only plays minor matches with MU, such as the Carabao Cup. At his post, he is not considered a priority choice, especially since the arrivals at the club of Bruno Fernandes and Donny Van De Beek. His contract on the Old Trafford side expires after the current campaign, but it is therefore possible that he will pack his bags well before that deadline. At the club since 2014, the former Iberian international has 257 matches and 50 goals with the Red Devils.
