Lekki Toll-Gate Shooting: “What A Disgrace” – Banky W Reacts After Sanwo Olu Says The Shooting Was Beyond His Control

Nigerian singer, politician and music executive, Olabankole Wellington popularly called Banky W has fumed over the response by the Lagos State governor, Babajide Sanwo Olu after the shooting of peaceful #EndSARS protesters at Lekki toll gate..

There was a sporadic shooting on Tuesday night, October 20, by alleged military officers which lead to the death of at least 7 people and over 50 injured following a curfew imposed on the state.



The shooting comes shortly after CCTV cameras were removed at the Lekki Toll Gate and the lights turned off and this got many suspecting a plot by some security agents to kill protesters.


Reacting to this devastating encounter, Banky W took to his Twitter page and blasted the government led by Buhari and described the whole issue as a disgrace.



He tweeted,

Lagos turned off the lights & removed cameras. Military showed up & opened fire on peaceful protesters. Today the Army denies it, the Governor says it was “forces beyond our direct control”, the IG & Security Chiefs still have jobs, and the President is silent. What a disgrace.
