Delta State Women Protest Against Regina Daniels Hubby, Ned Nwoko, Accuse Him Of Imprisoning Their Husbands & Sons
Women of Idumuje-Ugboko community in Delta State have taken to the streets in protest against Regina Daniels billionaire hubby, Ned Nwoko.
Ned stands accused of oppressing these women by overtaking their ancestral lands whilst throwing their husbands, relatives and sons in prison for standing in his way
According to Sahara reporters, the billionaire was said to have forcefully taken over several hectares of land belonging to the people of the community.
The protesters which consist of women of different ages under the umbrella of Concerned Women of Idumeje-Ugboko, were seen with placards bearing different inscriptions while marching to the Delta State Government House, Asaba, to air their grievances.
The women further said that the local government council is working for Nwoko “legitimizing illegality through issuance of customary rights of occupancy on lands under customary dispute and legal litigation”.
The women further accused Nwoko of promoting the insecurity in the town whilst disclosing that their husbands, sons and relatives were being incarcerated in Abuja on the orders of the Nigerian billionaire.
In a petition to Governor Ifeanyi Okowa, women of the community alleged that Nwoko forcefully dispossessed farmers of their ancestral land for private commercial ventures.
It reads, “We consider it in the worst interest of the state and humanity to destroy food and cash crop farms and replace them with a golf course while leaving the owners with no alternative but a transition from being landlords to at best, tenants.”
In the same vein, another group of protesting women said to have been sponsored by Ned Nwoko, stormed the state Government House in buses, saying those protesting against the former lawmaker were enemies of progress.
The pro-Nwoko protesters disclosed that the land in question was legitimately acquired by the former lawmaker with the purpose of building a university and golf course.
Recall that a few months ago, Ned Nwoko was accused of being a cultist by a US-based journalist. This was after Mr Nwoko disclosed that when he met Regina, she was a virgin. He said that it further solidified his will to marry her. He further revealed that all his wives were virgins when he married them.
“I have always said that I wouldn’t marry anybody who isn’t a virgin and that is very important to me. When I found out that she was a virgin, it reinforced my decision to marry her. I married all my wives as virgins.” he said
This did not go down well with the journalist, Azuka Jebose Molokwu, who lambasted the businessman billionaire calling him a “sick, dirty
old black b*stard” who went after virgins for nefarious purposes.
She further accused the billionaire of evil doings and getting protection from the Ministry of Justice, Delta and Edo state police command.
She then advised Regina to take her newborn son, Munir and run away.
Ned Nwoko has since reacted slamming his accuser with a two billion naira defamation lawsuit.
