Koeman brings Henrik Larsson back to Barcelona
Former Barcelona striker, Henrik Larsson, has returned to the club after 13 years.
The Swedish was appointed as Ronald Koeman’s assistant coach..
Larsson has signed a two-year contract with the Spanish club.
The 48-year-old played under Koeman at Feyenoord between 1995 and 1997.
After he left Celtic in 2004, Larsson joined Barca where he scored 22 times in 62 games over two seasons and won the Champions League as well as two LaLiga titles and a Spanish Supercup trophy.
Larsson will be joined by Dutchman Alfred Schreuder, who was part of Erik ten Hag’s Ajax coaching setup that reached the Champions League semi-finals in 2019.
Shreuder then managed Hoffenheim for a year following Julian Nagelsmann’s departure.
Larsson has been out of the game for one year after quitting his managerial role at Swedish side Helsingborgs, having also taken charge at Falkenbergs
