Blasphemy: Boko Haram leader Shekau condemns Kano death sentence in new audio
Abubakar Shekau, the leader of Boko Haram terrorist group has condemned the death sentence verdict passed by Kano court on Yahaya Sharif-Aminu , a singer for blaspheming Prophet Muhammed..
Disclosing this development Humanangle, a twitter news platform known for reporting news on conflict and insecurity in Africa, released an audio where the sect leader condemned the court’s verdict.
According to Shekau, Kano state government is not any different from the musician sentenced to death.
“there is no difference between the ‘blasphemer’ and those who sentenced him to death,” Shekau In the audio said.
Allnews had earlier reported how an upper Sharia court Kano state sentenced Aminu to death after finding him guilty of Blasphemy in a song he released and circulated in March.
The singer was however told that he could not appeal the court verdict.
