Gov. Obaseki renames Oshiomhole street after Bukola Saraki

Governor Godwin Obaseki of Edo has renamed a street formerly known as Adams Oshiomole Crescent after the former Senate President, Bukola Saraki on Friday.

Obaseki on Friday joined the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and has wasted no time in warming himself to his new political party and their leaders..

The governor renamed street in Auchi, Edo state from Adams Oshiomole Crescent to Bukola Saraki Boulevard.

Obaseki is seeking re-election on the platform of the PDP after the All Progressives Congress (APC) disqualified him from seeking a second term.

Obaseki and his predecessor, Adams Oshiomhole have been at loggerheads and all peaceful avenue to settle their differences have failed.


Oshiomhole who was the national chairman of the APC vowed that Obaseki will not return on the platform of the party and picked Pastor Osagie Ize-Iyamu to succeed him.

Edujandon.com had reported that a day after Governor Obaseki resigned from the APC, a Court of Appeal in Abuja suspended Oshiomhole as APC national chairman.
