“He Will Be Under House Arrest In A Remote Location” Governor Ganduje’s Media Aide Mocks Sanusi

The media aide of Gov Ganduje took to social media to explain the fate of dethroned Emir of Kano, Sanusi.

Salihu Tanko Yakasai, the media aide of Governor Ganduje has revealed what happens now following Sanusi Lamido Sanusi’s dethronement as the Emir of Kano.

Salihu took to Twitter to respond to those expressing hope that Sanusi’s dethronement leaves him free to contest for the Presidency come 2023.

Yakasai mocked their expectations and told them that Sanusi will not be a free man following his dethronement, hence he cannot contest in the elections.

He tweeted: “Clearly, some ppl are ignorant of how dethronement works. When an Emir is dethroned, he is sent to exile in a remote location & will basically be under house arrest & won’t ve access to visitors. A person under this circumstances will be after his freedom & not the next election (sic).”
