Olamide Signs Deal With International Company, EMPIRE
Rapper Olamide took to Twitter to reveal he signed a venture deal with American music distribution and record label Empire Distribution.
Nigerian rapper and YBNL head Olamide has signed a venture deal with American music distribution and record label Empire Distribution.
This was revealed by the rapper who shared photos from the signing on his social media pages.
Olamide took to his Twitter page to announce the deal in the late hours of February 18, 2020.
“Happy to announce that YBNL and Empire got a joint venture deal. Myself (I) and Fireboy with any other act I sign next ready to shake the world”, the Yoruba rapper wrote.
Many have often speculated that Olamide may not go international like some of his contemporaries, in spite of his immense talent and discography. This, critics often blame on his heavy reliance on the Yoruba language.
Companies and artists such as Top Dawg Entertainment (Kendrick Lamar, Schoolboy Q, SZA), Last Kings Records (Tyga), Taylor Gang Entertainment (Berner, Chevy Woods), Hustle Gang (T.I., B.o.B, Trae tha Truth), Bad Vibes Forever (XXXTentacion), have partnerships with EMPIRE.
