Kenyan man, Peter Mutisya who was on the run after killing his wife has been found dead.

A 44-year-old man from Likoni, who fatally hacked his wife on Friday following a domestic dispute, has been found dead.The body of Peter Mutisya was found in a thicket near the Mama Ngina Waterfront by police officers attached to Central police post on Sunday afternoon (January 19).

The cops communicated the discovery with their colleagues at Likoni Police Station, who arrived at the scene and identified the body as that of Mutisya, a suspect who was on the run after allegedly killing his spouse.

Mutisya’s brother, Reuben Mutisya, was called to the scene, where he confirmed that the deceased was his sibling.

Peter Mutisya’s body did not have any visible injuries, hence making it difficult to speculate on the cause of his death, Likoni OCPD Jane Munywoki said.

Mutisya’s body was taken to the Coast Provincial General Hospital mortuary, where a postmortem examination will be conducted to ascertain the cause of his death.

On Friday, January 17, police in Likoni, Mombasa launched a hunt for the 44-year-old man, who was accused of killing his wife following a marital conflict.

Peter Mutisya was alleged to have hacked his wife, Ruth Mutisya, 42, in the head and back at 2am Friday at their Pungu Villa home in Likoni. The reason behind their dispute is yet to be known.
