Arsenal manager, Unai Emery, has hailed strikers, Alexandre Lacazette and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang following the Gunners’ 3-2 defeat to Real Madrid in a pre-season friendly in the early hours of today.

Emery described Lacazette and Aubameyang combination as very good after his side’s defeat to Real Madrid, adding that the duo can play together and sometimes as individuals.

Emery’s men raced into a two-goal lead against the LaLiga giants, thanks to Alexandre Lacazette and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang in the first half.

But Madrid were level within 15 minutes of the restart.

Embattled winger Gareth Bale and Marco Asensio netted for Zinedine Zidane’s men.

The Los Blancos went on to win the shootout 3-2.

Speaking after the match, Emery told reporters: “Lacazette and Aubameyang combination is very good.

“They can play together and sometimes with one striker, a winger. We have a very big possibility and different options with Aubameyang.

“He can play like a striker alone, a striker together and a winger.”
