Brazil vs Peru: Messi reveals who will win Copa America 2019, gives reasons
Argentina captain, Lionel Messi, has claimed that Brazil will win this year’s Copa America, because “it is prepared”.
Messi stated this while speaking to reporters, following their 2-1 win over Chile in the third-place playoff.
The Barcelona superstar had blasted match officials after their 2-0 defeat to Brazil in the semi-finals and was shown a straight red card against Chile.
The 32-year-old feels the referees are trying to help the hosts clinch their first Copa crown since 2007.
“I think there is no doubt. Unfortunately, I think it is prepared for Brazil [to win it].
“I hope that the VAR and the referees have nothing to do and that Peru can compete because they have the team to win, but I see it difficult,” Messi said.
