AFCON 2019: Mikel Obi absent from Super Eagles training, dinner ahead of Cameroon clash
Super Eagles captain, John Obi Mikel, was nowhere to be found around the team on Wednesday, AllNigeriaSoccer reports.
With three days left before their Round of 16 clash with Cameroon at the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations, Mikel Obi appears to have lost the race to be fit for the match.
Not only did he miss the training session, the 32-year-old was not present for dinner.
Gernot Rohr watched his players train at the Arab Academy of Science, Technology and Maritime Transport in Alexandria.
The first 15 minutes was open to fans and the media.
Bursaspor defender, Abdullahi Shehu, trained apart from the group, while Jamiu Collins has resumed full training.
