It would be recalled that Gabon was sued before the Chief Magistrate Court sitting in Kano by a Kannywood actor.

Kannywood diva, Hadiza Aliyu Gabon, has debunked a report that stated that she was arrested by the Kano state Police Command over alleged failure to honour the court’s invitation.

Gabon who spoke with Daily Trust on Tuesday said the report was nothing but malicious and fallacious in all ramifications and a calculated attempt to portray her in a bad light before the eyes of the public.
It would be recalled that Gabon was sued before the Chief Magistrate Court sitting in Kano by a Kannywood actor, Mustapha Badamasi Nabraska over alleged assault. Then, the Chief Magistrate Muntari Dandago had recently ordered the Kano state Commissioner of Police, Mohammed Wakili, to arrest Gabon over her alleged refusal to honour court’s invitation.

But Gabon said, “I wasn’t arrested by the police, the report was malicious and fallacious in all ramifications and a calculated attempt to portray me in a bad light, “As I am speaking with you I have reconciled with Nabraska, who took me to court, so I wonder where the story of my arrest came from.

The court has since set aside the order,” she said. Gabon who would turn 30 years in June also debunked a story published by one of the national dailies that she knelt down before Nabraska forgave her and withdrew the suit against her.

She said, “That story is nothing but fake, I didn’t kneel before him (Nabraska); we sat down, discussed and resolved our differences amicably out of court.”
Gabon who starred in ‘Jarumta’, ‘Gida da Waje’ and ‘Ciki Da Raino’ also charged media organizations to verify information before going on air or publishing the story.
