Pogba snubs Solskjaer, Man Utd fans after 4-0 thrashing at Everton
Manchester United midfielder, Paul Pogba, snubbed manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s order, for the players to greet the away fans, following their 4-0 hammering at Everton on Sunday.
United went into the break two goals down, thanks to strikes from Richarlison and Gylfi Sigurdsson.Lucas Digne and Theo Walcott added more goals in the second half.
At the full-time whistle, Solskjaer left United’s dugout and walked over to the far side of the pitch, to approach the travelling supporters.
The Norwegian held up both hands to signal an apology to United’s supporters, while Diogo Dalot and Scott McTominay stayed behind to applaud the away fans.
Solskjaer was also seen telling United’s players who had stayed on the pitch to approach their supporters, before heading back to the dressing room.
Pogba, however, swapped shirts with his France teammate Kurt Zouma and headed straight down after a brief conversation with Everton’s central defender.
“I’m furious the fact he’s had to go over and apologise for them.
“I’ve often said if you’ve got weeds in the garden, you’ve got to get rid of them.
“But there’s some Japanese knot weed at that football club and it’s attacking the foundations of the house, and it needs dealing with properly,” former United captain Gary Neville told Sky Sports after the game
