Head coach of the Super Eagles, Gernot Rohr, has claimed they are in a “tough” 2019 Africa Cup of Nations group.

Nigeria has been drawn against debutants Madagascar and Burundi, with Guinea completing Group B.

“Group B will be tough. Guinea, Madagascar and Burundi are decent sides so we have to prepare well,” Rohr told reporters at the Giza Pyramids, where the draws were conducted on Friday night.

He also revealed the Super Eagles plan to tackle two west African sides in Ghana and Senegal, in the build-up to the tournament which starts June 21.

Nigeria will be based in Alexandria during the group phase and begin their AFCON 2019 campaign with a tie against Burundi on June 22, before taking on Guinea [June 26] and Madagascar [June 30].
