Kaduna Decides: INEC officially adjourns announcement of election results

The Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, has adjourned the announcement of the final results of Saturday’s governorship and House of Assembly elections in Kaduna State.
Vice Chancellor of Bayero University in Kano and Returning Officer of the election while speaking at the collation centre explained that the suspension was to enable him “study the provisions of the law regarding the announcement”.
According to Bello, announcement of the results was adjourned till 11 am to “enable me study the provisions of the law regarding the announcement”.
Results so far declared by the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, indicates that El-Rufai of the All Progressives Congress, APC, won in 15 out of the 23 Local Government Areas, while Isah Ashiru, his Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) counterpart won eight.
