Google search engine has shown that Naira now exchanges at 184.00 to a Dollar just a day before the commencement of the 2019 presidential election in Nigerian.
The statistics seen on the popular search engine also shows that Pounds Sterling equals to N240.35.
However, a look on the website of the Central Bank of Nigeria, CBN, shows the Naira still exchanging at 305 to the Dollar.
At the Bureau De Change (BDC) segment, the naira traded at N360 to the dollar, while the Pound Sterling and the Euro closed at N470 and N408.
Trading at the investors window saw the naira closing at N361.49 to the dollar as market turnover stood at 292.34 million dollars.
Traders said that the demand for the dollar was low as the market was already in an election mood.
The presidential election will be kicking off tomorrow as assured by the chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, Mahmood Yakubu.
The two main contestants are President Muhammadu Buhari of the All Progressives Congress, APC, and former vice president Atiku Abubakar of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP.
