Azpilicueta reveals who caused Chelsea’s 6-0 defeat to Man City

Chelsea defender, Cesar Azpilicueta has blamed Maurizio Sarri’s men following their humiliating 6-0 defeat against Manchester City in the Premier League encounter on Sunday.

Goals from Sergio Aguero (3), Raheem Sterling (2) and Iikay Gundogan (1) gave Pep Guardiola’s men all three points against Chelsea at Etihad.

Azpilicueta, who gave away the penalty for Sergio Aguero’s third goal, blamed the Blues players for not playing well against Pep Guardiola’s side.

The Spaniard also believes Sarri’s men made a lot of errors and weren’t playing together as a team against Man City.
“It is one of the worst nights in my career,” Azpilicueta was quoted by Daily Star as saying after match.
“It is difficult to explain what happened.

“The first five or six minutes went well but that is not enough. It is very frustrating and disappointing. We are conceding a lot of goals and we cannot accept that.
“When you lose 6-0 we have to accept we didn’t play well and made errors. We knew it would be tough.
“When we won at Stamford Bridge it was because we played well and were together. Today was not the case.

“All I can do is apologise to the fans because it is not acceptable.”
